Part of the fun of going to the movie theater is enjoying a tub of popcorn, a big drink, and some candy while the movie plays. Sure, the treats tend to be a bit expensive, but they’re an integral part of the experience for many moviegoers.
Well, with the arrival of “Jurassic World Rebirth” this summer, one snack in particular is poised to take the viewing experience to the next level. The teaser trailer for the film promises that “something is coming”—a new and deadly dinosaur we’re sure. But, for those in the theater seats, that “something” will be yummy.
That’s because M&M’s has a new collaboration with the movie, including three collectible packs coming to stores for a limited time.

New ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Mega Peanut Butter M&M’s

For a limited time, fans of M&M’s and the “Jurassic Park” franchise can find Mega Peanut Butter M&M’s in three collectible “share size” packages. (We put “share size” in quotes because if we’re having candy at the movies, we are NOT sharing!)
Each package features a should-be-extinct dinosaur from the “Jurassic” world—one from the land, one from the sea, and one from the air. Members of the M&M’s Fun Club (the candy’s rewards program) who seek out all three packages and snap photos of them can earn points, which can be redeemed for exclusive prizes like an M&M’s drink tumbler or gift cards. There’s even a fun M&M’s candy machine to dispense the egg-shaped treats. If only the film’s scientists had it so easy.
Mega M&M’s have been around for a while now, though like the Jurassic dinosaurs, went extinct for a bit, only to be brought back in 2024. In fact, they debuted as a movie tie-in, promoting “Shrek 2.” Like the ogre or the T-Rex, these giant, peanut butter candies just keep coming back to theaters, and we’re not mad about it.
The movie hits theaters on July 2, but these limited-edition packs of Mega Peanut Butter M&M’s should be showing up on store shelves soon. Hopefully, they’ll have them in the theaters, too, so you can safely chow down on candy while Scarlett Johansson and her co-stars dodge prehistoric dangers. If not, you may have to make like the team does in the movie and sneak these treats in undetected. We won’t tell.
